If you are purchasing the 12" or 14" French Drum shades and wish to use them as a floor or table lamp, you will need a shade carrier.

We would recommend the 3" shade carrier for a 12" french drum shade and the 4" shade carrier for the 14" french drum shade, however this is personal preference. Which shade carrier size you purchase, will depend on the height that you would like the lampshade to sit on the base.

This listing is for 1 x 3" shade carrier, used to convert your duplex fitting lampshade to a floor or table lamp fitting. This is an EU (40mm) shade carrier, which comes with a plastic ring reducer to also convert to UK (29mm). The shade carrier is attached to the lamp base and the lampshade then sits on top of the carrier.
